Weekly Update 29

Spent the week relaxing in the Outer Banks with Kyle, my parents, and my siblings!  Nice vacation in advance of this craziness over the next two weeks: moving, preparing for and giving lab meeting, and starting classes!

My Money Design brought up a new angle for to my suggestions on financial disclosure before marriage, saying “I think it’s kind of selfish to hold out on other people with this kind of info. When you’re getting married… Why sabotage the relationship by not disclosing this info ahead of time?”

Sounds like you had a good week. I could probably use a vacation sometime soon. By the way, you should probably manually resize your post preview photo. It is quite massive which isn’t very good for SEO.

Thanks for the mention Emily! As with Jeremy, I really need to get away for an extended weekend. My wife and I are planning something in October for our anniversary, but it feels like it’s ages away! I was a little worried we wouldn’t have the funds to justify it (due to my irregular income) but things are looking up and I was finally able to set aside some cash! Minneapolis…here we come!

October will be here in no time! The irregular income is a double-edged sword, I guess. I’m glad it’s on the positive side this time around.

  3. Thanks for the shout out! Means a lot to share this with my blogger friends.
