I’m late on putting up a post this week because Kyle and I spent Friday night through Sunday morning outside with 1500 other people being subjected to noise, crowds, sleep deprivation, and a general lack of control over our lives, all in pursuit of season tickets to our university’s men’s basketball home games.  Kind of behind on blogging now!

Other than Campout, which always takes more time and energy to prepare for than we think it will, we did two extra fun things this week.  We had another couple over for dinner (we made pot roast) and also climbed to the top of the Chapel on our university’s campus.

Mrs. Pop warned me about putting our rent on a credit card in pursuit of sign-up bonuses: “The one thing I’d double check before doing so is making sure on the credit card’s end that the charge wouldn’t count as a cash advance. There seem to be weird rules where some purchases end up as cash advances.”

Oh wow, this brings me back. My freshman year of college I camped out for 2 months for a single game (bet you can guess where I went). We waited for a few days for other games. Definitely makes you appreciate it a little more. Thanks for the shout out!

Only freshman year?? 😉 Yeah the undergrads have it rough. I don’t think I would have tented even once. Grad students definitely have the easiest route of anyone into the stadium.

  3. I certainly can understand camping out for tickets even if I secretly wish that particular team had no fans. Thanks for including Pauline’s guest post!

[…] Groceries: I didn’t think that we really ate a bunch of groceries this month – moving totally threw off our normal eating patterns – but we did go over budget on our grocery spending.  We had to restock our fridge completely, so I guess it makes sense, especially after our low spending on groceries last month.  We also spent a bit more on snacky processed foods so that we could eat during Campout.
