I’m pretty overwhelmed with work and sort-of work and on top of that we had a lot of social activities this week!  I’m in the middle of a big push with my research and trying to juggle that with a group project for my professional development course.  I worked more hours M-F than I normally do between those two activities plus a few on the weekends.  Thankfully the group project is shaping up nicely, because my research isn’t going well!   Of course this week was the Superbowl and Chinese New Year, both of which we attend parties for.  We also attended a basketball game, our normal church small group meeting, and another church activity.  By the time Friday evening came around, we were beat!  Kyle was also sick enough to go … Read entire article »

We had a very busy week!  We were staying with my parents in northern VA until Thursday.  On Sunday we went downtown with my parents to see the Air and Space Museum and the American Art Museum.  For New Year’s Eve, Kyle and I went out with my sister and her boyfriend.  On Wednesday we attended a wedding in PA.  Thursday was all packing, driving, and grocery shopping.  On Friday I returned to work and … Read entire article »

My big objective this week was to accomplish enough at work so that I could leave town with a clear conscious.  I have a deadline for early January and I needed to make sure that I would meet it.  So I worked Sunday through Saturday this week, and finally on Saturday afternoon I declared myself finished with work!  I officially start winter break this morning after I stop by lab for a quick second to move some samples.  We’re going to church, eating lunch, and then driving up to my parents’ place for the break.   Merry Christmas!  Happy New Year!  I hope you have a great break if you’re taking one!       Posts I Liked   Jordann from My Alternative Life and Joe from Stacking Benjamins each wrote year-end reflection posts that I enjoyed.  Jordann … Read entire article »
