Our week has been consumed with our moving activities. We started our new lease on Tuesday and are ending our old one today. A bunch of our friends helped us move our furniture and boxed-up items on Tuesday evening and every night since we’ve been bringing over a few more loose items. We left the kitchen for nearly last, so that has totally screwed up our eating for the week! I’m basically back on the SAD, which is interesting. I haven’t eaten this way since late 2010 and it’s not a tasty as I remembered but also isn’t making me sick or anything. Kyle and I are starting to FREAK OUT about moving! We are way unprepared and we’ve had a busy weekend! We were so distracted by Campout last week that we didn’t do anything like get boxes until Saturday. And now we have to pack up our whole place… *sticks head in sand* Actually, we did something super productive – we got my car running. It turned out that the battery had gone bad so we just bought a new one and it turns on and drives and everything! Aside from moving-related stuff, I attended an interest meeting this week for the small business incubator at my university. As I anticipated, this week has been consumed by work work and more work. As often happens in these stressful times, something piled on top – Kyle came down with a cold and then gave it to me! Being in lab all day Saturday with an achey chest and stuffed nose is no fun! I’m falling behind schedule on meeting my deadlines so I need to push even harder this upcoming week to get it all done. 🙁 The one bright spot in my week (which Kyle unfortunately missed because of his cold) was the potluck we had in place of our normal church small group meeting. Kyle and I have been working crazy a lot this week. I’m still on schedule to meet my deadlines and it should only be another week of being very busy if things go well. I have given myself enough slack time to be able to recover if things don’t go well, which I’ll know early next week. This summer has really been wonderfully productive and I’ve implemented some good habits that I hope will carry into the school year! We received notice along with everyone else in the country a couple weeks ago that TWC is increasing our modem rental fee. I’m a little bitter about work this week! I worked over 12 hours on Monday so that I could really front-load everything so that I wouldn’t have to work this weekend. But on Friday I was notified that I was to give lab meeting on Monday, so it turns out I have lots of work to do this weekend after all! Kyle is also giving lab meeting tomorrow so we’re both alternately working and procrastinating. The reason I wanted to have all my work done before the weekend was that we had two parties to attend, as well as helping a friend move and cleaning our townhouse to host a third party.
